About:

The Vaccine Equity Workgroup (VEW) is a network of community partners in San Bernardino County (SBC) coming together to address barriers in vaccine access and adherence for residents.

Workgroup members have joined forces to identify challenges and barriers within the community, and have created four special groups to help specific at-risk populations:

• Latinx/Hispanic
• Young Children (under 5)/Youth
• Rural
• Indigenous/Native

Community partners meet monthly to co-create, plan, and implement strategies to improve vaccine education, literacy, awareness, accessibility, and hesitancy.

The aim of this workgroup is to create a safe space where community members can work harmoniously, sharing their lived experiences and ideas; ultimately removing barriers to ensure equitable vaccination access and uptake.
